On 19th August 2024, GCNF hosted the annual tea party at Whitminster Village Hall for retired community nurses who have worked in Gloucestershire. It was a very special occasion marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the charity in 1974. The party was attended by 34 guests and six Trustees, who enjoyed a splendid tea provided by Frampton Womens Institute, and a celebration cake generously donated by the family of the late Mary Wood, who herself worked as a district nurse in Stroud for several years. Our guests came from across the county and all enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with old friends and former colleagues. On 16th August 2023, GCNF held an annual tea party at Whitminster Village Hall for retired community nurses who have worked in Gloucestershire. The party was attended by 34 retired nurses with six Trustees hosting the party. Refreshments were provided by the Whitminster Women’s Institute. Next year, GCNF will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the charity on 19th August 2024.
